Our Dogs

MacFadgen's Autumn Rain: “Autumn”
We would like you to meet our girl “Autumn”. She is our beautiful black and white female springer. She is feisty, full of energy, fun loving and eager to please. She is at her best when working the field for birds. Autumn has been the mom of three previous litters. She is an amazing girl who loves to flush birds, chase balls and play with her pups. She always has oodles of kisses to share and is always in the mood to snuggle on her favorite arm chair.

MacFadgen's Bonny Boy: “Winchester”
This is our boy “Winnie”. He loves people and you can count on him to keep the couch warm and safe until you get back. Don't let his calm demeanor fool you … let him outside and he is ready to run and tear up the turf! He loves to run in the tall grass and forage in the forest. Flushing a bird or two is the highlight of his day!

Springmira's Maxine: “Maddie”
Maddie is a special gift to our family! She was given to us from a wonderful family who realized that she had needs that could not be met in the city where they live. Maddie LOVES to run!!! Give her a ball and an open field and she can busy herself for hours. She has an endless supply of energy and an even more endless supply of kisses!
Special thanks to Jen, Scott, Brandon and Blake
Words cannot express our gratitude!

Boone's Meadow Breeze: “Meadow”
Meadow was picked from Autumn's first litter by our son Daniel. She is his best companion and friend. She is best described as our little princess. Like her mom she is feisty and full of energy. Meadow likes to be a leader and not a follower. She may not be very interested in flushing birds or retrieving ducks, but when it comes to looking good … Meadow knows how to strut her stuff! Her most favorite thing in the world (besides Daniel) is to go for a swim in the stream. We think she is 50% fish!

Boones Autumn's Kimber: “Kimber”
She may be small, but she is mighty! Kimber was born on June 18, 2012. She was handpicked from Autumn's last litter to carry on her lineage. Kimber is a spitting image of her mom and has a larger than life personality. She is already showing signs of being a fantastic bird girl! We look forward to seeing what surprises Kimber has in store for us

Boone’s Winchester Kregor: “Kregor”
Although named after his father and a splitting image of Winchester, Kregor has a personality that is all his own. In the house he loves to play and is always ready to charm the laddies with his good looks and winning disposition. But, in the field he is at any given moment primed to flush a bird and loves to show off his talent for finding deer antler sheds! Whether at work or play there is no doubt that Kregor will give 100% effort into all he does.

Boone’s Pistol Underfire: “Pistol”
Pistol is from Maddie’s second litter, born on January 6, 2015. She is a strong leader and is always out front in the pack. Pistol will be a great lead dog!

Boone’s Alaska Coldriver: “Alaska”
Alaska is our “tomboy”. Born January 6, 2015 also from Madie’s litter, from 8 weeks old she showed clear signs of making a great Flushing dog. Just like her mom, Alaska loves to dive into the brush and find the birds.

Boone’s Maddie Maple: “Maple”
Maple, like her mom, loves to cuddle and wants attention! When she is in the field, she runs with her nose to the ground tracking a scent. We know her future is very promising.
IT’S TIME TO MEET THE REST OF THE FAMILY
Every breeder has, what we consider, their special dogs. They, for whatever reason, did not meet breeding standards. At Heritage Farm Kennel we make a promise to all of our dogs that they will always have a home on the farm, no matter what! Sometimes, a wonderful family will come along and choose to adopt one of our special doggies and sometimes we have chosen to adopt them.

MacFadgen's Remington Gunner: “Gunner”
Here is a dog that was born to retrieve! Gunner has a nose that just won't quit. If you can throw it, he can find it! We have tossed balls into the woods and time and time again he will amaze us with his ability and determination to bring things back. He is now learning to retrieve ducks from the pond. Even more fun than watching him retrieve, is watching him jump into the pond. The only thing bigger than Gunners personality is his ability to splash! “Gunner” was successfully trained in 2014 for Shed Hunting.

Gleneires Smokey Mountain Rain: “Smokey”
Smokey is the “ladies man” of our clan. He is the Springer version of “Casanova.” He likes to impress the ladies with his grooming skills. When Smokey is around all of our girls have the cleanest ears in town! If this isn't most impressive, then he will “wow” them with his speed. Smokey was born to not just run, but to run fast. If we could get him to slow down, we think he just might have wheels for feet!

Brooklynne: “Brook”
Every now and then a star will drop from the sky and bring such joy to your life. For us, Brook is that star. While at a flyball tournament I was approached by a member of the “Springer Rescue” team {Lynne}. She asked if we would consider rescuing a springer that had a bite history and was very close to being euthanized because of her past. She needed a family who could see beyond this history and be able to meet her needs. We agreed to add her to our clan. When it was time to pick her up, we weren't sure what we were in for. We expected the worst, but got the best! Brooklynne is our growly girl. She grrr's when you pet her, she grrr's when you hug her and she grrr's when you give her kisses. This is just a mask and underneath this mask is the most amazing and loveable bird dog! She loves to flush birds. It is what she was born to do. Once she reaches the field, her nose hits the ground and the flushing game is on! Since coming to her new home, we have not seen any signs of a bite history. Never judge a book by its cover or you just might miss a best seller!
Note: Just wanted everyone to know that Brooklynne had a wonderful “first family.” She certainly did not come from an abusive situation. One of her owners became sick with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. Because of the intense stress and sadness involved with battling such a terrible sickness, Brook did not handle it well. Even after “the incident” her family still loved her and wanted only the best for her. So many people would have chose to end her life, but they so amazingly chose to give her a new one. We are so lucky to have been chosen to give it to her. We have never met this family or don't even know who they are, but if you ever read this please know how much we love her and how very, very happy she is … Thank You!

Charlie: “Charles” or “Charlie McFarlie”
We started a boarding kennel in 2006. Charlie was one of our first guests. He came to visit us fairly often and if you ever get a chance to meet him you will know why we fell in love with him. One day we were asked by his owner if we knew of anyone who could give him a good home. Needless to say he became a member of our family. As you can see, Charlie is not a springer, but because he is surrounded by them, we are sure that he thinks he is. Charles is handsome, loveable, adorable and is my Grammy White's favorite springer “want to be”. My Grammy White has Alzheimers now, but she can always remember Charlie.
