Price will be based on the degree of the dog’s aggression and need
for management training.

Does your dog have issues with aggression, dog reactivity or simply becomes uncontrollable when coming in contact with other dogs or people?

You and your dog will be taught the skills, tools, obedience and desensitization that is necessary to put you back in control of these situations.

This is a very popular program!  It is best to book months in advance to ensure you can have dates/times that suit your schedule.

Your dog will learn: sit, stay, recall, walk on lead, down, greeting & manners, waiting for meals until they are released.

After completion of this program, owners will be provided with a 4 hr. one-on-one session which will detail everything their K9 companion does and how to handle them.  It is very important to continue the training aids and skills once the program is completed.

This is an advanced obedience program for working dogs.

Skills learned:

• Sit / Down / Place & Stay
• Recall to Whistle with control placement
• Build Manner & Confidence
• Distraction Proofing
• Leash manners & off leash Manners
• Loose leach walking.

This is a 65 day program.  The client then works with the trainer for approximately 4 hours to gain the skills needed to handle their dog. 

If more time is required, an additional fee will apply.

Recommended for dogs 8 to 10 months old. All dogs must complete the HFK Working Dog Obedience & Foundation program before enrolling.

Skill Introduction to:

• Developing quartering techniques
• Whistle training (recall, right & left, whoa)
• Stay & control placement
• Basic skills (here, heel, kennel, whoa)
• Developing skills such as “out”, “leave it”
• Establish range through positive reinforcement and collar condition
• Introduction to: steadiness training, whistle and hand signals, scent work, bird and gun fire

This is a 40 to 70 day program. At the end of the dog flushing level 1, the client and dog will work with the trainer 4 to 6 hours one-on-one to aid in developing the skills to help advance your dog for level 2 of training should you decide to enroll. If more time is required, an additional fee will apply.

This will provide:

• Advanced control flushing with live birds
• Exposure to a high number of quality birds to develop bird scent quickly
• Working a field or wood line for scent
• Develop retriever bird to hand
• E-collar (optional)

All dogs must complete the HFK Working Dog Obedience & Foundation program before enrolling.

Skills:

• Developing whistle control with the dog to work the field or wood line
• Scent work development for shed antlers
• Shed antlers retrieval to hand
• Consistent sight and scent training in wooded area as well as search and find grasslands.  Special emphasis on nose development and sight identification training.

This is a 65 to 90 day program depending on the dog and skill level.  At the end of the program the client and dog will work with the trainer 4 to 6 hrs. one-on-one.  If more time is required, an additional fee will apply.

We will establish basic Pack Structure Relationship with your dog as well as a clear understanding of your dog's role in the pack. Foundation in basic obedience and building confidence in your dog as well. This program is designed for dogs that have management issues such as:

• Jumping, Nipping
• Poor recall & control issues
• Fearful of surrounding & new situations
• Fearful of other dogs & other animals
• Dogs with Separation anxiety
• Leash manners & off leash Manners
• Resolve Reactivity to other dogs
• This program is not for dogs with aggression issues!

All dogs need a Behavioural Evaluation and Consultation by Heritage Farm Kennel Inc. before being enrolled in this program at an addition cost.

This program is for old dogs or rescued dogs in need of a reset in behavior. We focus on developing skills and tools that help the dog with problems like poor obedience, anxiousness, reactiveness and overexcitement issues.

We put them though Behavior Evaluations and develop a training program that's based on obedience and teaching them the skills needed to become a more well behaved and balanced dog.

This program is structured for dogs with many out of control problems. For example:

• Human Aggression
• Bite History
• Dog to Dog Aggression
• Intense Resource Guarding
• High Level of Separation Anxiety
• Fear Aggression
• Leash reactivity (handler aggression) 

With this program we will establish basic pack Structure Relationship with your dog as well as a clear understanding of the rules. We work with your dog to set the foundation to build confidence and trust so they can deal with issues that are causing the unwanted behaviour . This is a slow and demanding program that needs to work at your dogs pace. Each dog is different and progresses at a different rate.

Some problems are complex and requires time to get to the root cause. This means they need a team approach with the trainer and owner. It is important for the owner to understand that some problems can not be 100% resolved. However, we work with the owner to teach them tools they need to build a relationship with their dog and get back in control of situations as they develop. It is important to note that with this program additional training classes with Trainer, Client and dog is needed to ensure the Client is comfortable with the dog and the dog knows the that owner is in control of the situation.
